February 2022, RIFGC Judges Council Flower Show
On February 23, 2022 members of the Portsmouth Garden Club participated in the RIFGC Judges Council Flower Show, “Our Neighborhood” at the Friend’s Meeting House in Portsmouth.
Karen Saucier was awarded the blue ribbon for her design in Class 4, Precious Littles, and the Best in Show, the highest award in Design and the Flower Show Judges Award, which is given to the exhibit which best depicts its class title. Mary DiBara was awarded the blue ribbon in Class 4, Newcomers, and the Ruth Anderson Award for the exhibit which depicts the best use of color.
Janet Shrake and Barbara McCurdy represented the club well in Class 1, Old Friends, a class for traditional designs. In Class 2, Linda Howard and Sue Perry did an excellent job with their parallel designs, Three of a Kind.

In the Horticulture Division, Janet Shrake, Linda Howard and Sue Perry and Barbara McCurdy were awarded blue ribbons and Barbara won the Growers Choice Award which is given to the highest scoring exhibit in the Section.
