May 14, 2025 Speaker, Joe Verstandig, Living Collections Manager of The Newport Tree Conservancy, spoke on growing trees from seed and grafting. He described the mission and activities of the conservancy to the membership. Mary DiBara spoke on the ongoing tick abatement and education initiative, Rochelle on the upcoming plant sale and Suzanne Ballard gave more horticulture tips. Ileene created a cake-designed tree using types of cake, and Janice donated lime bars using limes grown from a home tree for the refreshment table.
