September 19, 2025- The "Welcome to the new "Garden Club Year" Meeting was held at Newport Vineyards with Executive Chef, Andy Teixeria and the team. Ingredients being grown right now for the restaurant, such as figs (now gown in their own greenhouse), garlic, tarragon, basil and squash were described by the new Culinary Garden Manager, Christian Roberge. Tymon Childs, a Johnson and Wales student explained the observations he was seeing and learning while working in the various agricultural situations on the farm, vineyard and in the restaurant. Co-Owner, Mr. Paul Nunes presented a update on vineyard grape growth and production. Members were then invited to taste the fruits of the effort. All pronounced the event a informative and raved that all was delicious!
