October 23-24, 2024 At the New England Garden Club Annual Meeting (Federation) Portsmouth Vice President Ileene Chernoff won in the Photo competition in " Class 5. “The Creation of a Thousand Forests is in One Acorn” Ralph Waldo Emerson- a monochromatic photograph celebrating Trees" with a picture entitled " Jurassic Canopy" taken in the botanical garden in Hawaii where the film was made. All 4 entries were judged by a panel of independent photographers and all of four were awarded a first.
