2023 June Club Blue Ribbon Winner again!
June 23-25, 2023 Newport Flower Show Club Competitions Class.
Twelve entries were allowed , four of which were primarily blue and four were white plants in a Chinese vase. The Show theme was "the Grand Tour". The inspiration for the Chinese vase for the Preservation Society Tea House was Shan-Shai lanscape painting, Shan meaning "mountain" and Shau"\meaning "river". A central potato bush as a standard tree, represents the mountain and blue and silver plants represent the river.
The committee was composed of Nancy Oliveira, Karen Saucier, Suzan Ballard, Jane Thomas and Ann Gizzi (not pictured)
2022 June Club Blue ribbon winner
June 17-19,2022 Newport Flower Show Club Competitions Class. Twelve entries were allowed with four which were primarily vegetables, four primarily flowering and four primarily herbs.
Our club wins a blue ribbon for their class and purple and green Robert M. Grace award best in show for vegetable plant display.
Congratulations to Chris Grande, Karen Saucier, Ilene Chernoff and Linda Barrile the imaginative members who created and nurtured it.
